2025 Frankfort Car Club Photos

FCC once again participated in Frankfort’s Fall Fest Parade over Labor Day weekend. Mild temperatures brought huge crowds to town, which helped both drivers and our cars endure the slow crawl. On hand and leading our pack was Joe & Diane Tanzillo with the Herbie inspired #53 Beetle (picture 7) ; Dino Deluca in the yellow Corvette (pic. 2) ; Trevor Sibley in his Roush edition Mustang (pic 6) ; Shelly Claypool in her 65 Corvair (pic 4) ; Larry Claypool in the Subaru 360 (pic 8); John Blaskie in a 1984 AMC Eagle (pic 9); Lance in a Buick Roadmaster wagon  (pic fall) ; Wayne Lucht in the 55 Plymouth (pic 5), and rounding out our  group was Tom Mantel in the ’40 Packard Limo. (pic pac). The cars all behaved in the slo-mo mode, and the announcer was pretty well versed with our vehicles as we passed the reviewing stand.  It’s on You Tube- we are at the 43:40 mark in the video.

FCC 08/27/25 Cedarhurst in Frankfort

FCC has teamed up with the Lemont Car Club for several years now to present some car displays at local nursing/care facilities. While we had scheduled at show at Cedarhurst (just off of Rt.30 & Wolf Rd. in Frankfort) for mid-July,  that day turned out to be a rainout, so an alternate date of August 27th was chosen with hopes of better weather.  Although mid-week, the weather and turn out worked out fine. FCC fielded 6 vehicles with Lance Alden, Larry Claypool, Chuck Revetto, Dale Chapman, Tom Mantel and Paul Dybinski each bringing cars with the balance provided by Lemont Club members. A number of the residents did come out to view the cars and several were pretty knowledgeable about what they were looking at.

We will no doubt schedule a couple of similar shows next summer at both this location and Smiths Crossing in Orland Park.
